This Indenture made the third day of the fifth
month in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred thirteen between Jospeh Menden=
hall of the County of Miami + State of Ohio of the one
part, + John Mote of the County Montgomery + State
aforesaid + Frederick Yount of Miami County +
State aforesaid Trustees to the Society of the people
called Quakers constituting West branch partic=
ular meeting, of the other part Witnesseth, that
the said Joseph Mendenhall + Rachel his wife for
for + in consideration of the Sum of two dollar
to the said Joseph + Rachel his wife in hand
paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowl=
edged, Hath granted, aliened, conveyed + confirmed
and by these presents do grant, bargain, Sell
alien, convey + confirm unto the Said John
Mole + Frederick Yount all that tract or parcel
of land contained in the following boundaries
to wit, beginning at a Stake fourteen poles west
of the north East corner of Section thirty two of
Township Six, of Range five, East of a meridian line
drawn from the mouth of the Great Miami River
running South Eleven poles to a Stake, thence
west fourteen poles to a Stake, thence north
Eleven poles to a Stone, thence East fourteen
poles to the place of the begining corner
containing one hundred + fifty four poles be
the same more or less.--- To have + to hold the
Said bargained + granted premises with all
the priviliges + appurtenances to the Same be=
longing or in any wise appertaining only
proper use benefit + behoof of the said John
Mote + Frederick Yount + their sucessors for
the use of Said Society, + the Said Joseph Men=
denhall + Rachel his wife the true, lawful +
Sole owners of the above bargained premises
+ was lawfuly Seized + possesser of the same
in their own right as a good + perfect + abso=
lute Estate of inheritance in fee Simple +
hath good right full power, lawful authority to

grant, bargain, Sell, convey + confirm, the Said
bargained premises in measures aforesaid + that
the Said John Mote + Frederick Yount, + their Suc=
cessors in trust for the Said Society aforesaid, Shall
+ may from time to time + at a time forever
hereafter by force + virtue of these presents
lawfully, peaceably + quietly, have, hold, use
+ possess + Enjoy the Said delivered + bargain=
Ed premises with the appurtenances free + clear
+ freely + clearly aquitted Exhonerated + dischar=
ged of + from all + all manner of former or other
gifts, grants, Sale + incumbrances, of what name
or nature soever that might in any way or meas=
ure or degree obstruct or make void this present
deed.---- Furthermore the Said Joseph Menden=
hall + Rachel his wife their heirs Executors or ad=
ministrators do covenant + Engage the above prem=
ises to the Said John Mote + Frederick Yount on
behalf of Said society + against the lawful claims
of any person or persons whatsoever, forever
here after to warrant, Secure + defend by their
presents--- In testimony whereof the Said Joseph
Mendenhall + Rachel his wife have hereun=
to set their hands + Seals the day + year first

Freinds or people called Quakers, belonging
or constituting, West branch particular meeting,
of the other part, Witnesseth, That the Said
Francis Jones for + in consideration of the sum
of Six dollars and fifty in hand paid the
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
Hath granted, bargained, aliened, conveyed
and confirmed, And by these presents do
grant, bargain, Sell, alien, convey + confirm
unto the Said John Mote + Frederick Yount
in Trust all that lot or parcel of land being
part of the South East quarter of Section
Number 29 + Township Six, + fifth Range
bounding on the South line of Said quarter
Section, beginning at the south East corner
running thense west twenty three poles to a
Stone on Said line, thence north Sixteen
poles to a Stone, thence East twenty three poles
to a corner Stone on the original line, then
South 16 poles to the begining corner.---
To have + to hold the Said bargained +
granted premises, with all the priviliges
+ appurtenances to the Same belonging or in
any wise appertaining to the Said John
Mote and Frederick Yount Trustees of Said
Society for the only use benefit + behoof of the
Said Society of friends or people called qua=
kers as before mentioned + the said Fran=
cis Jones + Mary his wife their heirs, executors
+ administrators do hereby covenant prom=
ise and grant to + with the Said John Mote
+ Frederick Yount as to Such other friend or
friends as Shall be hereafter appointed by the sd
monthly meeting of friends or people called quakers

ever at the discretion of Said Society to apoint Trustees
for the Same purpose afore mentioned, + by virtue of
these presents, lawfuly peaceably + quietly, have hold,
use occupy, possess + enjoy the Said described + bargain=
ed premises, with the appurtenances free + clear + freely
+ clearly acquitted, Exhonerated + discharged of + from all
+ all manner of promises or other gift, grants, sales, or en-
cumbrances of what name + nature soever, that
might in any measure or degree obstruct or make
void this present deed, against the lawful claims of
any person or persons whatsoever forever hereafter
to warrant Secure + defend by these presents. --
